Specialized rabbit and bunny boarding in West New York, NJ โ minutes from Manhattan, Hoboken and Jersey City. Run by a rabbit owner who actually understands GI stasis, megacolon, and the anxiety of leaving your bunny with a stranger. One client at a time. Daily updates.
I've been a rabbit owner for 3 years. My own bunny is 6 years old and has megacolon, which means I live in the world of motility meds, critical care feeding, daily output monitoring, and vet visits that would make most sitters panic.
That's exactly why I started boarding. Every time I traveled, I couldn't find anyone who actually understood rabbits. Dog sitters who listed "small pets" didn't know what GI stasis looked like. So I became the person I wished I'd found.
I take one boarding client at a time. Your bunny gets a calm, quiet space, their usual routine, and someone who checks on them the way you would. I do have a rabbit of my own, but they stay in my room โ separate from the boarding area at all times.
Most of my guests come from Hudson County and New York City. If you're wondering how drop-off works from your neighborhood, I've written up the details for New York City, Hoboken, Jersey City and everywhere else I serve.
Refilled hay (unlimited), fresh water, pellets on their usual schedule. First wellness check: appetite, energy, output.
Fresh veggies per your bunny's diet, if needed. Floor time, toy rotation, and a photo update sent to you.
Daily video sent so you can see your bunny is relaxed and happy. Second wellness check before settling in for the night.
If your bunny takes meds, I administer them. If something seems off, I know the signs.
Quiet, indoor, non-smoking. Your bunny gets their own area, not a chaotic household.
No dogs in the home. No children. Your bunny's stay is calm and predictable.
Bring your bunny's enclosure, litter box, and familiar items. Or I can set up a clean space. Either way, their routine stays the same. Here's what to pack.
A 30-inch playpen lined with two 48-inch round fleece playpen mats for soft, grippy footing โ plus toys to keep them busy, including a stacking cup, a tunnel, and a water bowl.
This is the pen your bunny comes home to. It lives in the quietest corner of my apartment, away from my own rabbit, who stays in my room for the whole stay. Everything you see here gets cleaned and reset before each new guest.
An open playpen, only closed up while I'm at work.
48-inch quilted mats, washable and grippy so nobody slides around on tile.
A soft blanket over the top, so there is always somewhere shaded to hide.
For zoomies, hiding, and shooting out the far end at full speed.
A heavy water bowl that will not tip, plus a stacking cup for pellets and greens.
A plush toy to flop against, and room for whatever you send along from home.
Would you rather use your bunny's own enclosure? Bring it along and I'll set that up instead โ whatever keeps their routine closest to home.
Chi is an excellent sitter. He is a compassionate, and provided frequent updates . I would recommend him to anyone looking for a sitter. Your animal is in safe hands with Chi. I will rebook in the future.

Yes. Rabbits are the only pet I board. If you have guinea pigs or other small animals, reach out and I'll let you know if I can help.
Absolutely. My own rabbit has megacolon, so I'm experienced with motility medications, critical care feeding, subcutaneous fluids, and monitoring for GI stasis. I have an exotic vet on call. Medication administration is included at no extra charge โ tell me your bunny's needs and we'll make a plan.
Boarding is $30 per night, plus $20 per night for each additional rabbit. That rate includes unlimited hay, fresh water, pellets, fresh vegetables, twice-daily wellness checks, daily photo and video updates, and medication administration. There are no add-on fees.
Yes โ many of my boarding guests come from Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. West New York is a short trip through the Lincoln Tunnel, or you can take the NY Waterway ferry to Port Imperial in Weehawken and it's minutes from there.
Yes. Bonded pairs stay together for the entire stay โ separating a bonded pair is stressful for both rabbits and can damage the bond. Additional rabbits are $20 per night each.
